Meet Bry White: DJ, designer, dancefloor storyteller, and the man behind LoveGeneration – the grassroots house brand celebrating a whole decade of bringing uplifting, vinyl-rich energy to the rave, one soulful drop at a time.
With over 35 years behind the decks, Bry isn’t just another DJ. He’s lived every beat of the scene – from ‘80s electro in a kids’ basement club, to hip hop jam sessions, to 7-hour vinyl-only sets for packed-out nights in Kettering. His journey reads like a love letter to dance music itself.
“I started out buying acid house and hip hop vinyl in the late ’80s,” Bry tells us. “By the time I hit sixth form, I was running school discos and DJing live for the first time. That’s when I realised I didn’t just love the music – I loved creating a space where people could come together through it.”
And that hasn’t changed. Whether it’s playing underground parties, launching his own events like You Got The Love, or spinning rare soul, disco and house classics, Bry has always kept things real… no gimmicks, just good music and even better energy.

LoveGeneration: A Brand Built on Connection
Launched on Valentine’s Day in 2015, LoveGeneration was never just about parties. “It’s about creating a community. A generation of dance lovers born in the ‘70s and ‘80s, raised on funk, disco, hip hop and house. It’s about generating love – pure and simple – through the music.”
From roof-raising nights at Aura in Kettering to daytime vinyl brunches at jAGA in Market Harborough, Bry’s sets bring that unmistakable LoveGen spirit: uplifting, soulful, and unapologetically joyful. Think old-school classics, rare remixes, and a dancefloor full of grins.
The name itself is personal, too… born from a night at Pacha in Ibiza, where Bry got engaged while Bob Sinclar performed Love Generation. “It just stuck,” he says. “It summed up everything I wanted the brand to be.
10 Years of Highs: From Backyard BBQs to Festival Stages
“Supporting local festivals has been a big highlight of the last decade.” Bry says. There have been so many unforgettable moments – like the 12-hour bank holiday all-dayers at Olive Lounge, vinyl sets at Music Barn Festival, or getting people grooving at The Social’s first birthday.
One standout? A 20-minute set at KettFest, his first playing fully digital to a live crowd, that ended up lasting nearly two hours, because the vibe was just too good to stop. “That’s when you know it’s working – you’re in the zone, and everyone else is right there with you.”
As well as the live events, Bry’s online mixes have reached over 50 countries. “From Guatemala to Iran,” he says, “it’s wild knowing your music is being heard that far and wide. It’s all about spreading the love.”

House Then vs Now: What’s Changed, What Hasn’t
So much has shifted in the dance scene over the years – some good, some not so good. “There’s a lot more commercial pressure now, more focus on being Insta-worthy,” Bry says. “But house music is about feeling. It’s about unity. A dark room, a deep groove, strangers moving as one… that’s the magic.”
He’s hopeful for the future, though. “There’s a wave of younger ravers rediscovering ‘90s culture. There’s nostalgia, yes, but also a hunger for authenticity. You can feel that energy returning.”
The Future of LoveGen: Watch This Space
As for what’s next? A 10-year celebration is definitely on the cards, with potential new venues, vinyl nights, and even some LoveGen clothing on the way. Bry’s also working on a special 3-hour tribute mix dedicated to his rave roots at Milwaukee’s, recreating the sweat-soaked glory of ESP and Helter Skelter nights in 1991.
He’s got ideas for deeper, darker techno nights too… “but the right venue is key,” he says. “It’s always about the crowd, the connection, and the vibe.”
And of course, he’ll be in Ibiza soon. “Purely for research,” he grins.
Parting Advice for New DJs: Keep It Real
For anyone looking to step into the DJ world, Bry’s advice is clear: “Be patient. Practice. Build your presence, but stay true to what you love. The best gigs aren’t always the biggest – they’re the ones where you connect with the crowd.”
And maybe avoid letting your mates near the decks. “Trust me,” he laughs, “curious hands will press the off button mid-set.”
Ten years of LoveGeneration. Thirty-five years behind the decks. One mission: share the music, spread the love.
Here’s to the next decade of memories, music, and moments that matter.
