There’s something refreshing about a band deciding not to wait around for opportunity and instead creating it themselves. That’s exactly the spirit behind A New Forever Fest, an ambitious all-day music event coming to The Steel Bar in Corby on Saturday 20th June 2026, built around the debut album release from local band Veins but designed to celebrate far more than just one group.

Running from 2pm through to midnight, the event will bring together ten bands and a DJ for a full day of live music, collaboration and community. While the day marks an important milestone for Veins with the release of their long-awaited first album, the band have deliberately turned the moment into something bigger – inviting a wide mix of artists to share the stage and making the day feel closer to a mini grassroots festival than a traditional headline show.

Alongside Veins, the lineup features After Self, Beings, Delve Boy, Creation Myths, Joanna, Family of Noise, The Vandervalls, Erwin and Decadence, representing a broad cross-section of local and regional talent. Some are bands Veins have previously shared stages with, while others are newer acts the band have discovered through local gigs and community events. That mix of familiar collaborators and fresh discoveries is exactly the point.

The idea for A New Forever Fest grew out of a simple realisation. If the band wanted to mark the album properly, it needed to be something memorable – but doing that alone would be a challenge. Bringing other artists into the picture made the idea not only possible, but more meaningful. As the band explain, “We originally decided to do an all-dayer including bands we’d played with or close friends, but the idea grew. There’s loads of good young bands in the area we’d seen play but never shared a stage with, so we thought we’d bring them in too.”

In many ways, the event reflects the journey the band themselves have been on. The album began life back in January 2020, before the pandemic brought everything to a halt. Like many bands, momentum stalled and the project was left unfinished for a while as life pulled members in different directions. But over the past year things have begun moving again. Veins have returned to writing, releasing new singles and planning more shows, with their debut album now acting as a line in the sand between that uncertain period and whatever comes next.

What makes A New Forever Fest particularly special is how DIY the entire operation is. The event is being presented under Pulling Teeth Promotions, but that isn’t a separate promoter stepping in – it’s simply the name the band use when organising their own shows. From recording the album themselves to designing artwork, making music videos and booking gigs, Veins have built a reputation as a self-contained creative unit. Even the festival itself is being organised entirely by the band.

That same DIY mindset runs through the event’s wider purpose. Bringing together bands from different genres, age groups and corners of the local scene isn’t just about filling a lineup. It’s about creating opportunities for discovery. Someone who turns up to see one act might leave with a handful of new favourite bands.

It’s also a chance to support venues like The Steel Bar, which many artists rely on but which operate in an increasingly difficult climate. As the band point out, independent venues across towns like Corby have faced years of challenges, with some well-loved spaces already disappearing. Events like this offer a reminder of how valuable these rooms are when they’re full of music, energy and people who care about the scene.

For the audience, the day promises something simple but powerful – a packed room, loud guitars, new bands to discover and a crowd that’s there for the music. The Veins headline set itself is still being shaped, but the band are keen to make it feel like a true finale to the day rather than just another slot on the lineup.

Ultimately, A New Forever Fest feels like the kind of event grassroots scenes thrive on. Independent bands pulling together, local venues opening their doors and a community turning up to support it. Often the best things in music start exactly like this.

There’s something powerful about the idea of a festival that doesn’t require a field or a three-hour drive. This June, during what would have been Glastonbury’s traditional weekend – paused this year for its scheduled fallow year – something different is happening across the UK. Something closer to home.

From 26 to 28 June 2026, hundreds of grassroots venues will take part in Everywhere At Once, a coordinated national weekend led by Music Venue Trust and supported by The National Lottery. Instead of one fenced-off site, the festival unfolds in towns and cities across the country, from Inverness to Penzance. Independent rooms, local promoters and high street venues will host their own shows under one shared banner, creating a collective moment built around the spaces that keep live music alive year-round.

It’s a simple but important shift in thinking. Rather than pulling people towards one major location, Everywhere At Once pushes energy back into local communities. The same rooms that have nurtured first gigs, midweek tours and breakthrough moments now become part of something national, without losing their identity. No campsite. No trek. Just your local venue doing what it does best.

Music Venue Trust has been vocal for years about the pressures facing grassroots spaces. Rising costs, fragile margins and the long recovery from the pandemic have left many venues balancing passion with survival. With The National Lottery backing this initiative, the focus isn’t just on programming a busy weekend. It’s about visibility and practical support. The festival is being delivered in partnership with organisations including Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters, helping ensure venues and promoters across the country are supported while strengthening the network that underpins live music in the UK.

The partnership also builds on previous collaborations that helped kickstart live music after lockdowns. Everywhere At Once feels like the next chapter – less emergency response, more collective statement. A reminder that live music doesn’t only happen in arenas or on festival main stages. It happens in 100-cap rooms above pubs, in community-run spaces, in converted warehouses and on high streets that rely on culture to stay vibrant.

What makes this initiative resonate is how it utilises the infrastructure that already exists. Grassroots venues and independent promoters are used to grafting behind the scenes. They know their audiences. They know their artists. By aligning those efforts over one weekend, the impact multiplies without compromising the intimacy that makes these spaces special.

Audiences will also have the option to support music and youth charities at point of purchase, including War Child, Nordoff and Robbins, Help Musicians UK and Teenage Cancer Trust. It’s another reminder that grassroots culture often carries a wider sense of responsibility and care.

Full line-ups and individual shows are still to be announced, but that’s almost secondary. The real story here is the collaboration itself. Hundreds of venues choosing to move together. Promoters thinking boldly about what their rooms can be. Communities being invited to show up for the places on their doorstep rather than waiting for something to come to them.

We’ve already seen the power of collective moments this year through Independent Venue Week in January, and in April initiatives like Seed Sounds Weekender will bring another nationwide push for live music into local spaces. Everywhere At Once sits alongside these efforts but in its own lane – landing in the middle of summer and turning what would have been a festival weekend into something rooted in high streets and hometown venues instead.

For Fleckies, this is exactly the kind of initiative worth spotlighting. It recognises that culture is local first. That scenes are built by the people who unlock the doors, run the bar, book the bands and turn up on a mid-week night. Everywhere At Once doesn’t try to replace the big summer festivals. It reframes the conversation. It asks what happens if we treat our grassroots venues as the main event.

For three days in June, the artists will play, the venues will host, and communities across the UK will gather in the rooms that matter most – closer to the music, closer to home.

London heads, this one’s serious.

On Saturday 28th February 2026, BUTTAH celebrates three years of underground movement with its biggest step yet – an all day and night party (4pm – late) at a secret East London location, alongside the official launch of the BUTTAH record label.

Founded by Mas Fuego (made up of Greeso, Jamo and Roddy) and Kadri Salumaa, BUTTAH has quietly built one of the capital’s most consistent underground spaces. In just three years they’ve hosted eight parties, three pop-ups, taken over ten locations, and built a loyal community of ravers who show up properly.

As the team put it: “In such a short space of time we’ve managed to build a kind, fun and hardcore community of ravers who are the biggest contributors to our success. We love and appreciate every single one of them.”

It’s that community-first approach that’s given BUTTAH its reputation – dark, driving and rooted firmly in London’s underground culture.

What can you expect? The unexpected.

This is BUTTAH’s first ever day-to-night session, and true to form, they’re keeping details close.

There’s something lined up specifically for WhatsApp group members, plus special birthday touches on the night. The lineup balances fresh debuts with residents who’ve shaped the BUTTAH sound from day one:

Cass Brewster, El Cassar, Harry Turner, Kirraa, Mas Fuego, MiddleGround, On-Off, Sae1Sound, Savio Testa, Suly Aslan

Expect dark underground selections, heavy drops and that unmistakable London edge.

Why launch a label now?

For BUTTAH, the label has always been part of the long-term vision.

“BUTTAH as a party has always been synonymous with a specific style, sound and energy, so a label that puts out that dark underground London sound felt like a natural progression.”

The goal is simple – release dark, dirty beats that cut through in DJ sets, shake cars and soundtrack late nights properly.

Producers can send music via BUTTAH’s SoundCloud or Instagram DMs. DJs looking to join future lineups are encouraged to do what many residents did – come down to the party, meet the team and become part of the community first.

Three years in, BUTTAH isn’t slowing down. If anything, this feels like they’re just getting started!

Today (Monday 26th January) marks the start of the 13th edition of Independent Venue Week, the UK’s annual, seven-day celebration of the grassroots spaces that keep live music alive.

This year is the second biggest IVW ever, with 236 independently-owned venues taking part – a 10% increase on 2025 – and 700+ gigs and events happening across the country. From John O’Groats to Falmouth, cities, towns and villages are opening their doors to artists, fans and communities who believe in showing up for local music.

Why IVW matters for venues

January is traditionally one of the toughest months for independent venues. Rising costs, quieter calendars and ongoing pressures mean survival isn’t guaranteed – and that’s exactly where IVW steps in.

Independent Venue Week gives venues a moment in the spotlight. A chance to fill rooms, tell their story, reconnect with regulars and welcome new faces through the door. It’s not just about ticket sales – it’s about visibility, morale and reminding people that these places exist because communities support them.

As IVW Founder and CEO Sybil Bell puts it: “Venues want the opportunity to enjoy a positive, celebratory week that shines a light on the brilliant work they do year-round.”

What it means for artists

For artists – especially independent and emerging ones – IVW is about real-world connection. Playing to engaged crowds in rooms that care. Selling a few bits of merch. Meeting new listeners face-to-face. Building momentum the old-school way.

Since IVW launched in 2013, over one million tickets have been sold for events during the week – creating genuine fan-building opportunities and giving artists space to experiment, take risks and be heard.

This year’s programme spans everything from intimate solo shows to full-band chaos, with exclusive performances from IVW26 Artist Ambassadors Nova Twins, Brògeal (Scotland) and Eve Goodman (Wales), alongside hundreds of artists at every stage of their journey.

And for fans?

For fans, Independent Venue Week is an open invitation to get out of the house and into a room where something might happen.

It’s about discovering new artists for a fiver. Catching a favourite band in a 100-cap room. Standing at the bar chatting to strangers who become gig mates by the end of the night. Being present – not scrolling, not streaming, but fully in it.

As Sybil Bell says, “More than ever, fans are showing that they want to be out, in person with mates, being in the moment and not on a screen.”

A nationwide celebration with a local heartbeat

More than 200 venues are taking part this year, including 11 across the East Midlands, each hosting their own run of shows and events shaped by their local scenes. It’s a reminder that while IVW is a national moment, its power lies in local rooms – each with their own sound, story and community.

Alongside gigs, IVW also creates space for conversation, learning and collaboration – recognising that independent venues are not just places to watch bands, but cultural hubs that support artists, promoters and audiences year-round.

How to get involved

Independent Venue Week runs 26th January – 1st February.
Find shows, venues and events near you at:
www.independentvenueweek.com

Buy a ticket. Take a chance on someone new. Bring a mate. Support your local.

Because without these rooms, the rest of the music world doesn’t exist.

The post Independent Venue Week Starts Today – and It Matters More Than Ever first appeared on Fleckies - Discover the best local events in town.

Independent Venue Week returns on Monday 26th January, and ahead of the nationwide celebration of grassroots spaces, two new artist ambassadors have been announced. Falkirk’s explosive five-piece Brògeal and North Wales folk artist Eve Goodman will represent Scotland and Wales for IVW26, joining national ambassadors Nova Twins.

The week will once again see hundreds of independently-owned venues across the UK hosting gigs, special events and one-off moments spanning every genre imaginable – a reminder of just how vital these spaces are to emerging artists, local culture and the live music ecosystem.

BRÒGEAL – SCOTTISH AMBASSADORS

Brògeal were one of last year’s standout IVW acts, bringing their raucous blend of Celtic folk, punk and indie to stages around the country. Formed during lockdown, they’ve taken a graft-first approach, building their audience through relentless touring and supporting Paolo Nutini, The Mary Wallopers and The Lathums.

Their debut album Tuesday Paper Club earned praise from Rolling Stone, The Independent, Clash, The New Cue and more – full of lyrical storytelling, chaos, heart and humour.

For Brògeal, independent venues are where everything began: “For the past five years we’ve made our bread and butter performing at independent venues. If it weren’t for these places taking chances on young musicians, we’d never have got to where we are. The future of music relies on these spaces – so get out this IVW and support them!”

EVE GOODMAN – WELSH AMBASSADOR

Raised in North Wales, Eve Goodman has built a reputation for tender, thoughtful songwriting influenced by Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Adrianne Lenker. Her 2024 debut Summer Sun, Winter Trees navigated grief and healing with striking honesty, while her 2025 Welsh-language collaboration with SERA, Natur, earned glowing praise from Nation.Cymru.

Eve says independent venues have shaped her from the very beginning: “Indie venues have been the beating heart of my musical life since my teens. Showing up for these spaces is a beautifully radical act – it supports real people, real passion and real livelihoods. Keep music live: buy tickets in advance and spread the word about the gigs you’re excited about!”

VENUES: LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR IVW26

More than 200 venues across the UK are expected to take part in IVW26, stretching from John O’Groats to Truro. Any venue wanting to get involved has until 9 December to register.

Shows are being confirmed daily – tours, one-off hometown shows, all-dayers, multi-venue takeovers and everything in between – with full listings updated regularly.

Sign up, listings and info: www.independentvenueweek.com

ABOUT INDEPENDENT VENUE WEEK

Independent Venue Week is the UK’s annual seven-day celebration of independent music and arts venues, shining a light on the people who own, run and work in them. Every January, IVW brings together artists, promoters, agents, labels and local communities to create a unique series of grassroots gigs across the UK.

Supported by Arts Council England, Creative Wales, Creative Scotland, PPL and Beavertown, IVW champions the vital role these venues play in the live music ecosystem – from giving new artists their first break to sustaining local scenes and cultural spaces.

Music Barn Festival has officially unveiled its full 2026 lineup, staking its claim as one of the UK’s small-but-mighty independent festivals. Returning to the Northamptonshire countryside on Saturday 6th June 2026, the festival steps confidently into its next chapter – blending global names, national favourites and a seriously exciting pool of local talent. It’s becoming a go-to for people who want big names, grassroots energy and a real field experience without the mega-festival chaos.

At the top of the bill are two genre-defining heavyweights: High Contrast, one of Drum & Bass’ most influential figures, and Todd Terry, the house pioneer whose sound has shaped dancefloors for decades. Their appearance sets the tone for a lineup moving through house, DnB, techno, garage, hip hop, live music and more, with standout names including Beans on Toast, Carly Wilford, P Money, Simula, Seb Fontaine, Too Many T’s, Nicky Blackmarket and the Now I’m Here – Queen Tribute.

Festival founder Mark Robinson says the 2026 announcement represents a major moment: “Last year was a huge moment for us. The feedback, the atmosphere, the energy – it proved what we can be. 2026 is where we really step into that. We’re independent, we’re ambitious, and we’re proud to bring huge names and grassroots artists together right here in Northamptonshire.”

A FESTIVAL DRIVEN BY COLLABORATION AND COMMUNITY

Collaboration sits at the heart of Music Barn’s identity, and this year brings together a tight crew of trusted partners shaping spaces across the site:

Selecta – hosting the Drum & Bass stage with High Contrast at the top

Dance Till Dawn – making their Music Barn debut on the House Stage with Todd Terry

Fleckies – returning to steer the hidden Through the Hedge micro-venue

House Proud – curating the VIP experience with an elevated but still independent feel

For Ryan Clements of Selecta, it’s a full-circle moment: “Selecta started in Kettering, so seeing it grow onto a festival stage like this means everything. Hosting the DnB stage again feels special – especially with a name like High Contrast at the top. And the local talent this year is unreal. It really shows what our county can do.”

Reece Speechley, founder of Dance Till Dawn, adds: “We’re buzzing to bring Dance Till Dawn to Music Barn for the first time. Todd Terry headlining is massive, and pairing that with the next wave of artists and all the local connections makes it even more exciting. This is a proper moment for us as a team.”

The festival also continues its partnership with Love Kettering, with part of proceeds supporting their community-focused work.

FLECKIES: THROUGH THE HEDGE – BACK AND BIGGER FOR 2026

Fleckies is returning to its hidden micro-venue, Through the Hedge, with our most eclectic and genre-bending lineup yet. This year we’re leaning into everything we love about grassroots culture – blending house, DnB, R&B, techno, trance, garage and disco into one all-day pocket of organised chaos.

Our 2026 lineup: [A-Z] BEKI MACHINE, DJ DL, Jim Round, Jonny Harris, Lester G, MiddleGround, Mikey Whitney, Onism, Rosco, WEG, Whitewave, Yumna & Nico

Expect proper local energy, deep selections, unexpected turns and the warm, slightly chaotic vibes the Through the Hedge stage has become known for.

SMALL FESTIVAL ENERGY, SERIOUS BOOKING CREDENTIALS

Music Barn has always proudly positioned itself as independent, intimate and multi-genre – but 2026 is the year it fully steps into that identity. With 80+ artists across a single day, the festival delivers full-weekend energy in a compact, up-close format.

Tickets begin at around £35, and camping starts at £40, making it one of the most affordable ways to catch headline names and underground favourites without rinsing your festival budget.

Daal & Bass – the fast-rising platform spotlighting South Asian dance and electronic music – has announced its first official, fully programmed event. The debut night takes place in London at Vittoria Wharf Studio on Saturday 13 December 2025, marking a big moment for the culture-first brand that’s already built a global community online.

What started as a digital movement rooted in the beats, stories and energy of the South Asian diaspora is now stepping into real life. The mission has always been simple: educate, entertain and immerse people in South Asian dance music. Now, that vision is landing on the dancefloor.

A MOVEMENT BUILT FROM CULTURE, MADE FOR THE RAVE

Daal & Bass champions South Asian sounds in all their depth – from UKG and jungle to house, techno and everything between. It’s a blend of heritage and rave culture, flipping tired stereotypes on their head. The brand’s bold visuals, cultural nods and DIY approach have helped create an online world that feels joyful, intentional and unmistakably South Asian.

With millions of monthly views and a loyal online tribe behind original content series like Aisle by Aisle, Daal & Bass is now bringing that same energy to IRL events.

THE LINE-UP

For their debut, Daal & Bass is bringing together a roster representing the cutting edge of South Asian club culture: Manara with her genre-blending, diasporic edits, Bally M bringing UKG, house and global club flavour, KIR4N delivering high-impact garage and breaks, SHIVXNI pushing heavy, experimental, rave-rooted sounds, and yourboykiran balancing nostalgia, melody and culture-first club energy. Hosting duties come from Mr Shay and Amvn!

WHY NOW?

South Asian electronic music is having a huge moment, but it’s still underrepresented in major nightlife spaces. Daal & Bass is stepping up with the intention to build community, uplift talent and carve out cultural spaces that feel both familiar and future-facing.

This isn’t just a launch. It’s a statement:
South Asian rave culture is global – and Daal & Bass is ready to lead it.

Last Saturday of the month? That means only one thing in Battersea – Payday Weekender at Four Thieves. And trust us, this is not your average pub party.

We rolled through on Saturday 26th April and found ourselves in the middle of a multi-room music takeover. Three buzzing spaces – the garden, the main room, and the boathouse – each packed with live acts, DJs, and wall-to-wall vibes. From funk-fuelled daytime sets to late-night dancefloor moments, this one had it all.

If you’ve never been, Four Thieves is a Battersea staple… but it’s not your typical local. We’re talking a full arcade (including a VR moonshine raceway), private karaoke rooms, craft beer on tap, banging pizza, and as always, some of the best free live music in South London.

This is what we love to see at Fleckies. Artists doing what they love, in a venue that champions entertainment at every level. And the crowd? Locked in from afternoon happy hour through to the final track. It’s the kind of event that gets people staying longer, spending more, and telling their mates to come down next month. In a climate where hospitality venues are under serious pressure, this is proof that live music isn’t just good vibes, it’s good business.

And did we mention it’s free? No ticket. No cover. Just show up and get stuck in. For the artists, it’s another real opportunity to play to a crowd who came to listen. For the venue, it’s a chance to keep their offering fresh and exciting.

Gaz Kllokoqi, Managing Partner at Laine Pub Company, summed it up perfectly: “Four Thieves is somewhere where fun begins and never ends. We’re all about music, events, and entertainment – we create experiences. We want people to never know exactly what to expect, but to always expect something great.”

The April edition was curated by GigPig, their first time programming a Four Thieves Payday Party, and they absolutely delivered with performances across all three stages from a stacked roster of talent including Bow Heron, Honey Trap, Lea Sere, Matt Stops, Richie, and SWYR. Known for matching hospitality venues with the best grassroots talent, they brought together a genre-hopping lineup that had the whole place moving from dusk ‘til dawn.

At Fleckies, we live for this kind of energy: great venues backing live music, artists getting paid gigs in exciting spaces, and the community coming together for something genuinely fun and accessible. It’s what we’re all about.

The next Payday Weekender drops on the last Saturday of the month. Get it in the group chat, round up the crew, and head to Four Thieves for a night where literally anything could happen… and usually does.

The post PAYDAY WEEKEND AT FOUR THIEVES: MUSIC, MADNESS & MULTI-ROOM VIBES first appeared on Fleckies - Discover the best local events in town.

Over the Easter weekend, we hit up the first MANIFEST of the year, and let’s just say – it did not disappoint.

From the moment things kicked off at 1pm, The Oast House was buzzing. Free live music, wall-to-wall good vibes, and a city centre crowd that was ready to settle in for the day (and night).

If you don’t already know about MANIFEST, it’s a homegrown music festival held right in the heart of Spinningfields… no ticket needed, just turn up and enjoy an epic lineup of live bands and DJs, drinks flowing, and a feel-good atmosphere from start to finish. It’s now a staple of the area, perfectly blending Manchester’s deep musical roots with the thriving hospitality scene that surrounds it.

And the setup works both ways. For artists, it’s a professional, high-energy stage to showcase their sound. For The Oast House, it’s a way to drive footfall, keep guests staying longer, and offer a full sensory experience beyond great food and drink. In a time when the hospitality industry is facing more pressure than ever, this is a reminder that live music can be the difference-maker.

By late afternoon, the buzz had built to the point where there was a queue wrapped around the block – proof that the formula works, and the appetite for this kind of cultural experience is only growing.

We caught up with Yahoo’s Fishing Club, who told us: “It’s amazing playing venues like Oast House – you can really cut your teeth and build a solid foundation. You’re put in front of so many people, playing loads of songs, building a repertoire and endurance you can’t really get anywhere else. And all of that feeds into your other projects and original material too.”

The first 2025 edition was programmed by GigPig, and they absolutely nailed it. It marked their debut curating MANIFEST, and the lineup was seamless – an all-day blend of Country, Indie, Funk, Disco and DJ sets carrying the party into the night.

The lineup included: Kayne Taylor, Libby Akerman & Niamh Mailer, Big Guy Small, Guacamaya Latin Band, Yahoo’s Fishing Club, Atomic Brass, Radio Edit, and DJ Alan Roche.

We also spoke to Luke Geoghegan, Music Operations Director at GigPig, who said: “This is exactly what GigPig strives for – pairing the right music talent with the right hospitality venues. It’s about creating real opportunities for musicians to do what they love and get paid for it, while helping venues thrive off the energy that live music brings.”

At Fleckies, this is everything we love to see: music talent getting the stages they deserve, venues staying packed and thriving, and people soaking up quality live music without breaking the bank.

Wanna catch the next one?

Here are the 2025 MANIFEST dates to get in your calendar:

Sunday 25th May

Saturday 28th June

Saturday 26th July

Sunday 24th August

Saturday 27th September

Saturday 25th October

Saturday 29th November

Saturday 13th December

It’s always free entry, 1pm – late at The Oast House, Spinningfields, Manchester!

Expect DJs, drinks, and a genre-spanning soundtrack that keeps the city dancing all day and night… run, don’t walk.

The post MANIFEST 2025: Manchester’s Free Music Festival first appeared on Fleckies - Discover the best local events in town.

Meet the crew rewriting the rules of what nightlife – and community – can look like in Kettering.

On Friday night, Jamie’s Quality Butchers wasn’t selling sausages. It was serving something even juicier: basslines, unity, and pure, unfiltered vibes. Thanks to a bold collaboration between Selecta and Love Kettering that was supported by Music Barn, and us here at Fleckies, the humble butcher shop transformed into an intimate rave space for a night that was about way more than music. This was a love letter to local.

The mission? Simple: Reignite Kettering town centre with energy, collaboration, and the power of sound.

This concept is part of a new series of grassroots parties designed to flip familiar spaces into unforgettable venues think tattoo parlours, cafés, estate agents. Anywhere can host a good party if the vibes are right and the purpose is strong.

And trust us: the vibes were right.

The lineup? Stacked. Hometown hero goddard. – a drum & bass heavyweight who came back to his roots to support the cause – headlined the night, joined by a killer crew including KARA, Chad Harrison, Kalist, and Wish. The energy was through the roof, the sound was impeccable, and the crowd? Absolutely locked in from start to finish.

“This project has been epic,” said Ryan Clements of Selecta. “I started this year on a mission to keep epic DnB events thriving in Kettering. Our residency at Bar7 has been amazing, but this collaboration took things to a whole new level – especially with talent like goddard. showing up and showing love.”

This wasn’t just a party. This was a statement. That Kettering doesn’t need to wait on big cities to define cool. That community creativity, collaboration, and local love are more than enough.

“I spend so much time thinking of wild ways to connect people,” said Amber, founder of Love Kettering. “Seeing it come together like this, with so many people involved and backing the vision, it’s been unreal. It really does take a village. And it’s so, so worth it.”

Mark Robinson, founder of Music Barn, shared his thoughts: “We’re proud to work with Selecta, Love Kettering, and Fleckies, and supporting this creative project has been brilliant – even better when our festival headliner, goddard., shows his support too. We can’t wait to see him again for his headline set live in the field this June!”

At Fleckies, this one was a no-brainer. Music, independent businesses, and a community-first ethos built on creativity and respect? You already know that’s our kind of night. The crowd fully got it too with no damage, no mess, just top-tier energy and a deep appreciation for the space and the sounds. These are the kinds of moments we live for… when culture, community, and joy collide.

Every angle was captured. Every vibe was felt. But this isn’t just about reliving a night, it’s about spreading the spark. Inspiring other towns to dream a little bigger. Try something new. Prove that you don’t need a massive budget or capital postcode to make magic happen.

Photos by Emilie Scott for Fleckies

This was the first, but it won’t be the last. Because when the beats are loud, the people are proud, and the energy is real, anything is possible.

So, what’s next? Keep watching. Better yet… get involved.

Because culture starts with you. Back your town. Bring the vibes. Build the future.

The post DnB in a Butcher’s?
