Meet Fresh Sesh: London’s Morning Rave Serving Coffee & Vibes

If you thought raving was strictly for after dark, think again. Fresh Sesh, the morning coffee rave shaking up London’s social scene, is proving that great music, connection, and community don’t need to come with a hangover… or a 3am cab home.

At the heart of it all? Ella and Jamie, the couple behind the concept, who’ve blended their passions for music and speciality coffee into something seriously fresh.

“We just felt like something was missing from the scene,” they told us. “There were no social spaces that didn’t revolve around alcohol – but loads of people, like us, were looking for something different.”

Ella, with nearly a decade in the coffee industry and now working in wholesale for Ozone, knows her way around a killer brew. Jamie works in brand marketing and DJs on the side. Together, they’ve taken their creativity, community focus, and love of a good party – and flipped the format completely.

The Start of Something Different

The idea for Fresh Sesh came when Jamie gave up drinking for a year and realised how few non-boozy spaces existed for people to connect. Inspired by early morning raves happening around the world, the duo decided to go all in and bring the vibe to London… with excellent coffee at the centre, of course.

Their first event kicked off in January, a bold move considering it’s notoriously the hardest month to get people out of their PJs, let alone to a dancefloor at 10am. “We winged a lot of it,” they admit, “but the energy in the room made it all worth it. People genuinely wanted to be there – and that told us we were onto something.”

A Space for Everyone

So, what exactly is Fresh Sesh? It’s part chill café hangout, part dancefloor, and 100% good vibes. Whether you’re there to sip, socialise, or sweat it out to the beat, there’s zero pressure to do anything other than enjoy yourself.

“There’s no pressure to drink or perform,” say Ella and Jamie. “It’s whatever you want it to be – a place to chill, connect, or have a proper boogie, all with great coffee and good vibes.”

What Makes Fresh Sesh Special

In a world where socialising often comes with a bar tab, or a gym membership, Fresh Sesh offers something rare: connection, without conditions. It’s energising and fun, without needing booze or fitness gear to justify it.

But like any grassroots concept, it hasn’t been without its challenges. “Getting people through the door is tough,” they say. “There’s so much love online, but hesitation is natural when you’re asking people to try something unfamiliar. Changing habits takes time.”

Luckily, Ella and Jamie are in it for the long haul.

What’s Next?

“More parties, more venues, more collaborations, 100%,” they tell us. “We’re growing this as a proper community. We want it to feel inclusive, warm, and fun for everyone.”

And the next chance to experience it? Saturday 10th May. Grab your mates, your best dance moves, and maybe even your favourite mug… because Fresh Sesh is taking over again.

Final Words?

“Honestly, if you’re thinking of launching your own event, just go for it,” they say. “People are craving connection, and music is one of the most powerful ways to bring that to life. Be passionate, be resilient, and give it a go.”

At Fleckies, we’re all about spotlighting the doers – the ones reimagining how we gather, how we listen, and how we build community. And Fresh Sesh? Well, they’re serving up all three, with a perfect flat white on the side.
