The Power of Music and Community: Kettering Unites this Saturday

Music is more than just beats and melodies – it’s a way to bring people together, celebrate life, and even heal during life’s toughest moments. This Saturday, January 25th, Kettering will come alive with that spirit as Raveman Promotions, in collaboration with Schtum Sound System, hosts a special night at The Sound Bar. This isn’t just another event; it’s a powerful act of unity and love for a family navigating an unimaginable loss.

The night, held in memory of Leonie French, promises an incredible lineup of drum & bass DJs and hosts, including names like Bucket, Clippah, Folly, Rivum, Dubminx, and more, with Schtum Sound System providing the booming backdrop. Leonie was a vibrant and beloved part of the Kettering community, a partner to Mitch and mother to their 9-month-old son. Her sudden passing has left a deep void, but the community is stepping up to help in the most meaningful way they know – through music and solidarity.

A Nonprofit Night for a Heartfelt Cause

The event will be entirely nonprofit, with every penny raised going directly to support Leonie’s family. Donations at the door will contribute toward funeral costs, and anything left over will be placed into a savings account for her young son’s future. From the venue to the sound system, everything for the event has been generously donated – a true testament to the strength of the Kettering community.

Event organiser Adam Folwell of Raveman Promotions shared his thoughts on the power of community: “Everyone’s shocked and heartbroken. Music is what we know, and it’s how we bring people together. If this night can bring even a little light to Leonie’s family, then it’s the least we can do.”

Pete, founder of Schtum Sound System, a collaborator for the event, added: “Kettering’s always had a way of stepping up for its own. This event isn’t just about raising money; it’s about showing love and support for Leonie’s family and reminding each other that no one goes through tough times alone.”

So, gather your friends, bring your energy, and let the power of drum & bass light up The Sound Bar – not just for the music, but for the love, support, and unity that only a community like Kettering can bring.
